Christer Lindstrom of the Institute of Sustainable Transportation presented an oral report and responded to Council’s questions.

SPEAKING FROM THE FLOOR IN OPPOSITION TO THE CITY JOINING THE GENERAL TRANSPORTATION NETWORK AND/OR EXPRESSING CONCERNS:

Action Councilmember Porter moved, seconded by Mayor Reilly, to support the General Transportation System (GTS) Project and apply to be a Member-City in the GTS Network. The motion carried by the following vote:

AYES: Councilmembers Porter, Mathews, Madrigal, Rotkin; Vice Mayor Coonerty; Mayor Reilly.
NOES: Councilmember Robinson.
ABSENT: None.
DISQUALIFIED: None.

Councilmember Mathews requested that reports be provided whenever there is a critical juncture and particularly if it appears that there is going to be a significant demand on staff’s time.
